At Keenan Recycling, we take Health and Safety very seriously. We have implemented policies and procedures, and taken advantage of some great technologies to ensure the Health and Safety of all is our top priority. If you have any queries about these policies, do not hesitate to contact us!

Our Site rules are...

All vehicles must stop at the entrance gate before entering the site

All vehicles must follow the one way system

All visitors must report to the site office

All vehicles must be reverse parked

Relevant PPE must always be worn on site

Site vehicles and hard hats are fitted with Site Zone Proximity warning systems

Contractors will be given a site induction and issued with site rules specific to contractors

Visitors will be accompanied by a staff member with a radio to contact the site office

Visitors should use footbaths, wash basins and sanitiser where appropriate

Pedestrians should follow walkways to maintain separation from vehicles

Our trucks have many different safety features fitted, some of which include;

    • 5 camera live streaming, including in-cab camera.
    • Roadtech Falcon telematics – location tracking
    • Reversing radar
    • Audible reverse alarm
    • Cyclist safety system
    • Pedestrian window on passenger door
    • Fire extinguisher

Our employees are trained to comply with regulations to ensure safety of themselves and others. Some of these regulations include;

    • Relevant PPE must always be worn during jobs – this PPE will be provided for them
    • All spills or damages must be reported immediately, and cleaned with tools and kits provided
    • Any damage to trucks, or collisions of any kind, must be reported immediately and details taken where necessary
    • Drivers must complete a walk-around safety check of the truck at the start and end of every shift
